Half term...feeding fun at the farm...

Today we were joined by the Lawless gang over at the lawless gang. So we had 5 girlies to entertain. from 2-8years. Us mummies needed a strong coffee before we decided between the woods or the farm to entertain them. Whilst we woke up a bit more, the two S's decided to play potties.... fighting over the all singing all dancing one. SL won that one....leaving S on the basic potty....

... a little later...S decided to get serious playing potty... and stripped off her trousers and nappy... so won the big potty... so SL decided to play dolly with the basic potty instead...
We all decided on the farm, as all the girls were acting tired in their own little ways. So we headed of to Glebe Farm which we discovered earlier in the month. And got a fair few bags of feed between us. K1 and K2, were keen on feeding the pony.

Whereas, J and S liked the lambs...
we then moved onto the Alpacas in the outside pens... S enjoyed being out here, as it was quieter. You can definitely tell its half term this week...

S quickly moved onto the goats as they were cheekier today...

and K2 enjoyed the challenge of trying to feed the 'baby' goat without the other goats getting in the way...

SL was really enjoying it...shrieking with joy as the goat took the feed....

We then moved onto the donkeys.... they were very vocal today, and seemed to be hungry...

S then ran off to see the black sheep... which meant the nursery rhyme then had to be sang....
J really enjoys playing with K1 and K2, there is something about playing with older girls. Unfortunately, she doesn't see them often as they attend school. You wouldn't think there is 2 years between K2 and J from this picture would you?

.... we also managed...somehow... to get a picture of all 5 of them looking the same way.... miracles do happen...

... we then realised we missed the tractor ride.. which resulted in J having a tantrum....and turning into a grump...
but that didn't stop S enjoying herself...
...who managed to find the one puddle ....

....and the J wanted to join in too....

... the girls then decided to burn off some energy whilst SL finished off feeding the carrots to the donkeys...

...after an hour at the farm, we then headed back home to a warming lunch of homemade tomato sauce and pasta... with Italian cheese...

...shortly after.... S and SL soon started arguing again, this time over who got to look over the stair gate to watch the mummies eat their dinner.... oh the joys of 2 year olds....

All in all.... another enjoyable day with friends this half term... and although the weather wasn't brilliant again, we made the most of it.

  1. I remember the first time my niece went to a farm. Her reaction to the sheep was hilarious. Lovely post.
