Birthday celebrations

Last week saw me celebrating my 28th Birthday. I don't often celebrate it, as its always put to the back of my thoughts as the girls birthdays come first and foremost, even though several months before and after. Last year, we moved the weekend before, so we celebrated with a BBQ.
This year, Daddy M was working, as his leave wasn't approved. However, my parents did come up to visit, and spent the day with me. I came down after my shower, and the girls were mega excited as they blew balloons up and party blowers going off, dancing around... my mum has added all the little touches I usually do for my girls... I wonder where I got that from?

Before Daddy went to work, I got my birthday cake.... and lots of candles... the girls helped me blow them out of course....
We then headed out to the local town, and then finished off with a trip to Glebe Farm again. Grandad had great fun in feeding the animals with the girls, whilst my mum went shopping in the little courtyard shops due to her allergies...

On all our visits to the farm, J has always wanted to go on the tractor ride, but we have always missed it, or the farmers hasn't been around. Just as we were driving off, he was setting up... a quick park of the car again, and a run to the tractor... we finally got the tractor ride.... one happy J.

We then headed home, Nana and myself celebrated in style with champagne, and cheese and crackers....
Grandma and Grandad then came over to help me celebrate... so we headed out in the garden...
....Grandad C bought a bubble rocket so the girls could play... this was great entertainment to see how high we could get it....

....along with the industrial bubble machine....
...we sure were celebrating with bubbles for this birthday....

...whilst Nana and Grandma caught up.... we really are lucky that both sets of parents/in-laws get on well....

...Grandma even got a go on the bubble rocket....
...after a quick change.... and my contact lenses going in for the last time before all my problems, we headed to a pub for dinner....
Whilst there, my parents asked if it was ok for a party popper.... this was no ordinary party popper...but a PARTY CANNON... It was massive, and a complete surprise....

...which made a lot of mess....
....the girls were in high spirits, so was a relatively stress free meal out...

....we of course had to have pudding... I was eyeing up a fishbowl of ice cream and chocolate and cream, but gave into a childs portion of ice cream instead, due to the huge dinner....
....which we all ended up having, apart from Nana and Grandma.... the kids portion was HUGE!!

Even though Daddy M couldn't share it, we still all had a lovely time, and I was spoilt rotten. Thank you to those who shared it with, sent cards, presents and messages... it all means a lot to me.

    1. Thank you, I have no idea where my mum gets the candle cake toppers... last year it was a musical flower that opened up into lots of little candles, this year, this posh candelabra... meant we didn't have to decorate the cake :-) x
