Our Fathers day gifts

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you are well aware I like my photos. I have been called snap happy on LOTS of occasions. This I really don't mind being called, as sometimes I catch an amazing photo, and sometimes its just a blugh... With digital cameras, its easy and doesn't do any damage being trigger happy on the old click, click button. Now what do I do with the AMAZING photos once I have caught them?

Usually they end up on all the social media channels to show off. We all do it don't we? And then they come out again for Mothers day and Fathers days, and possibly Christmas time too. The girls are 5 and 3 now, so we have been through lots of photo gifts.

A large photo in a luxury frame, is still in place almost 4 years on from a big milestone birthday. Done in a collage style with four different facial expressions. The recipient loved it, and I really do too. A picture like this would also make a great Fathers day present. BUT.... we have done this already, all you need is a white or black wall behind...

We have also done many, many photo mugs. I think each Grandad has one, as well as Nana and Grandma. We have certainly done the mugs. Grandad's favourite mug was one with pictures of all his grandchildren on, and not just my girls. *Make note.

So this year, when Truprint asked what I would like to make for this Fathers day, I wanted to keep it simple, but stylish.

I searched through lots of my favourite photos of the girlies. They are far more photogenic then me. I then changed the filter on the site, and changed them into Sepia photos. I think this makes a great photo even better. A classic. A photo that will stand the test of time, and any d├ęcor.

Summer 2014
We then popped them on Photo panels. There is no frame that dust can creep into corners, or glass to be broken. Its just a glossy photo panel. Very sleek, and very stylish. So nice, I ordered Daddy M a slightly bigger one in black and white too.

To go with the panels, I also ordered a personalised card each for the Grandads.

You can not get more personalised then that? Well, apart from the cute drawings inside the girlies will do.

So with Fathers Day on 21st June, are you thinking of creating photo gifts? If you are pop along to Truprint for up to £30 off using code LOVEMYDAD. This gives you £10 discount on orders £20-£49.99 and £30 discount on orders £50 or more, if used before 15th June.

T's & C's: Minimum spend does not include P&P charges. Offer is valid until midnight 15th June 2015. Offer is valid for single use during the promotional period and to customers residing in the UK on Truprint.co.uk only. P&P charges will apply. *We were given a £50 Truprint gift voucher to be used for Fathers Day gifts, in return for a post. All words, photos and opinions are my own.

  1. I love the Sepia effect you added - it's such a simple filter but it just gives photos a whole different perspective I think.

And now a confession - I didn't actually realise Truprint did personalised cards! I'll have to go check them out :)

  5. I've got what feels like billions of pics of my baby, I won't be getting anything in time for Father's Day but it won't be long till I get a canvas print I expect.
