Peek through Forest book review

We were sent Peek-Through Forest to review. Aimed at pre school children it was perfect for S. The book is written by Jonathan Litton and Illustrated by Kasia Nowowiejska.

The story lets you know what is happening on the page, whilst a tab on the edge of the page is getting the child to look for things within the page. Some things, i.e. rabbits can be seen either immediately, or they can be hidden under flaps.

As the child grows, the book can grow with them too. Underneath the tab is facts about the animals within the page. An example of a fact is what a female deer is called.
The pictures are simple, clear and bright and kept S entertained. The flaps encouraged her to interact, whilst the finding items got engagement. The facts I felt at this age went over her head although repetition can teach children.
The 12 page book has gone down very well. You can purchase the book for £6.99 here.
*We were sent the book for the purpose of an honest review. All photos, words and opinions are my own.
