Family day out at The Printworks

The Printworks is a great place to be in Manchester. I have memories of my 'up North' hen party taking place in a bar within The Printworks. With the bars and many restaurants inside and outside its a great night out, but what is it like for a family day out? We were invited along with the girlies to test it out.
As you walk in off the roads you enter an enclosed street lined with flags from wall to wall. A jazz band was also playing when we arrived which really gave a festival feel. Children were dancing in the street but the girls were overwhelmed and stayed close to us.

The day we went along also coincided with Manchester's 10k running race. This meant there were lots of people. It was busy but not rowdy, the police were around to make sure the peace was kept with a high presence within the Printworks. We never saw them put to work though more just being on show.

Our day started at the Odeon which is in the heart of The Printworks. Who doesn't like going to the cinema? The girls watched Angry birds and absolutely loved it. J was sat on the edge of her seat for half of it eagerly waiting to find out if the eggs would get rescued and S even stayed in her own seat for the majority of the film. (This is a first!)

After the film S said she was hungry. We know that when she gets hungry she wants feeding almost instantly. This is not a good thing. Thankfully though there is so many places to eat within The Printworks we didn't have to wander far. We chose to try out Peachy Keens.

Peachy Keens is an all-you-can-eat multi cuisine restaurant. Perfect for us where we all want different things. J absolutely loved it. Choosing to try new things and asking the chef to make her something up right in front of her.

Whereas S enjoyed the desserts, tucking into 6 jelly portions....

The selection of foods were amazing. I tucked into Chinese and freshly cooked stir-fry, whilst Daddy tucked into the fresh grill section and Indian cuisines. The desserts... again you could not fault the selection.

We enjoyed a full afternoon out at The Printworks. It is so convenient as it is all under one roof. I found no reason why not to bring your family down on an afternoon or morning to enjoy all it has to offer.
